| The House of Memories holds many memories
for Eileen (Dunmire) Smith. When Eileen heard that the Old Post
Office in Smicksburg was "For Sale", she thought of the many memories of
where she had been raised. Eileen graduated from Dayton High School
in 1956. After giving it some thought, Eileen gave her sister, Janet
(Dunmire) Mertz, a phone call and told her of her idea about the House of
Memories--a place where Old Memories could be shared and a place where New
Memories could be made. When Janet heard about the House of
Memories, she thought, "What a wonderful idea". The House of
Memories is filled with items which will bring back memories of the past
and is a place where memories can be made. The House of Memories is
located at 51 East Kittanning Street, Smicksburg, PA. Stop in and
say hello when you're in Smicksburg.
